Anybody running it on their apex? Bought a pair of used Simmon's the other day and the guy was also selling a used heel clicker clutch kit (2 speed). He had it on his 04 Warrior, said it rocks both on low and high end. He went Ski Doo so he took it off the warrior when he sold it.
Anyone have this kit on their Apex, Attak or RTX? Performance noticeable? I am not a gear head but try to do most of my maintenance and fixes myself. He told me it was a straight forward install. Is it a bear?
Do I need special tools to install?
Never worked on a clutch before so I'm clueless to some of the terminology.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Bender kit, which is supposedly close to a heelclicker kit, and I really like it. Its hard to beat stock Yamaha clutching, but I think that a good clutch kit seems to "feel" like it has a bit more kick. I don"t think you'd be hurting anything by trying it out!

You might want to look at the drag n fly weights. Same manufacterer but slightly different set up. So far so good on anything i tested.

I have a Bender HC kit(standard HC, not Drag&fly). It comes with springs for both clutches and a helix. I am relatively certain you have to install 14.5 or 15 mm rollers in the primary, if you don't already. Mine came with 16mm. There is not enough swing clearance with the larger.
As far as performance goes, I had a pretty tricked out custom setup from the local dealer using stock yamaha clutching, and it performed better than stock. But, this HC kit woke her up. The only gripe I have, and it is minor, it a little rougher on engagement at 4400rpm. Otherwise, about 9,000 rpm + is a rocket ride. I'm just barely holding on. I was really impressed with the difference on the top. I have the long track (162), and it scares me to think what this kit would do in a short track. I think you might have a lack of traction issue with a short track.
Note though, This was an entire kit, not just the heel clicker arms.
Good luck.

you can run the heelclickers with oem springs for smooth engagement!
