Seems i have heard some bashin of the Heel Clicker clutch system , I have over 3000 miles on mine that was installed by Hackers Yamaha ,Houghton Lake ,Mi

I have had 0 problems with the product ,and with all the bad luck i have read hear at TY,, i called them today to double check for any updates before i return to Wyoming and all i heard was war stories about the competiton from HC,, i could really care less who the cat dont like.

It appears there is some bad blood here and uninformed public is more than confused with the negative posts here on TY about Heel Clicker,, so I would ask if you have had any failures with there product lets see some proof, pics etc, before we go dissin on Heel Clickers campfire and i walk 10 miles out of the woods with a blown clutch and aluminum chunks in my face.

0 PROBLEMS AFTER 600 MILES ,- MY EXPERIENCE, I DONT LIKE THT BIG PRIMARY SPRING THOUGH ENGAGEMENT IS TOO HIGH.

I have had no failures or any of my friends that have been using heel clickers. I did have a problem with my sled that was the result of the heel clickers. I have a 2003 rx-1 my friend the same, both heel clicker set up. No difference in set up. Mine would not excelerate and no top end at all. we took the clutches out and wieghed everything. The arms that came out of my sled had a 4 gram difference. I am not sure on the exact weight but I know I had to take off 4 grams on one arm, and 3 grams off another one. when I called heel clicker I was told they do not sell matched arms unless you order them specifically. My friend has 3 sets of heel clickers. 2 sets for srx and 1 for his rx-1, all are the exact same weight. I was told by the heel clickers guys to take the extra weight off the shoulder. My sled ran great after that, but I did not like the fact that you could order these arms and not know what you are getting unless you wiegh everything out. I bought my kit from hauk racing all assembled ready to bolt in (all weights installed on the arm). I was told from heel clicker that the difference between the arms would not make a difference, but when I matched everything it ran great. I like the heel clickers. This year I am going to try running the stock spring with shimms to bring down the engagement rpm. I do recommend the heel clickers if you are willing to tune them. Take this for what its worth (most likely nothing). Thanks to everyone on this site for all the knowledge and advise.

The bolt-in style 3rd generation hc,s are fine....untill....you blow a belt!!!. Even with a lot of material removed from the moveable shive they will make contact, break into a kazillion pieces & totally destroy most stuff they hit. Been der dun dat. If you do use them make sure your belt is in very good shape. Any little frays or nicks do not use that belt...you are asking for a lot of trouble. I have been using hc,s since the original version came out 3 seasons ago. Yes...they work but there are some issues that a person needs to be aware of before using em!!!!!

I have to agree with Turk on this one.Last season a friend of mind lost his heel clickers on a srx going at 80 miles per hour. Not very nice to see at that speed.I remove mine after hearing that the same thing happend to others on this site too.I now have heavy hitters that I got from Matt.

Heelclicker vs H-H

I ran hc in my piped viper .had almost 4000 miles on them no problems.I was running with a bunch of the guys & we were doing a little racing no different than normal. Speedo said 120 (10 mph high) when the belt blew,a new belt by the way, sheared all three of the heels, lots of shrapnel not to mention all the harrasment . actually I really liked them, if ya tune them they really hook, but I will not run them again.

I have never tried HC's but with all the negative stuff I read compared to Zero negative about Heavy Hitters it was a no brainer for me. Plus, tuners have had better results with Heavy Hitters in the RX-1.

I shoulda asked this already but what pissing match you talking about Shaf? Seems to me Heavy Hitters are the overwhelming favorite here and I havn't noticed any HC bashing.

It still makes me wonder why anyone buys this bolt on stuff, I thought thats why we rode a yamaha to get away from the Black Tragic kind of BS.

Im takin it all off and going stock, screw all the foo foo, morgan wannabe crap.

And the worst thing of it all is, it voids your WARRANTY

It only voids your warranty under two conditions;

1) IT can be shown that it somehow caused the damage,
2) Your dealer sucks.

And BTW: Those clutch weights are not simply "bolt-on", they are totally adjustable, allowing the owner full control over the shifting characteristics. To say something is "bolt-on" means that it does exactly what it does and nothing else.

If your track is stock the stock clutching is probably fine, but if you're studded you need to compensate.
Stock clutching also leaves alot on the table, that's why the one's that clutch, clutch :ORC

I guess the owners of the 2 companys are not very good buddys, from the conversation i had with HC today I aint getting in to the middle of that ,but i got a way to cure all of hoopla is take the product off . I aint standin in the middle of nowhere cause i wanted to be cool, or being able to roost my buddies.

Ask Tim Berg or Danny Ragoni how the aftermarket snowmobile market is doing.
