Today, I got an a EXO 400 for my birthday. Came with Heated Shield, which was a very nice surprise. Wife paid $182 U.S. Given that it came with the Heated Shield and a built-in No Fog Mask, you can't beat the price.
There is no slit for the sun visor.

Just a heads up from Scorpion....they also have a EXO700 which is a Carbon Fibre hand laid shell. The difference between the 2 is the 700 weighs about 4oz. less but it's also $69 more. It also has MORE vents.
Keep in mind...in the "Snow Version" for both the 400 and 700 the VENTS come plugged anyways so that's a non-issue.
Other than that...they are essentially the same helmets. I figure as a snow helmet why would I need MORE vents? I was ready to order the 700 then after talking to the company and getting more details I changed my mind and ordered the 400.
Paid $227 USD shipped which is a great deal in my book!! OK here is why i need more head vents,i sweat so bad when riding hard, that i fog up even when its 40 degrees above outside,so when it gets cold it freezes up,now i have used almost every kind of helmet you can imagine, all of them fail me,my most current helmet is a doo bvs2 flip down front,it sucks big time for me,it and there full modgular have no other head vents,to let head steam escape out the top,i was hoping the scorpion exo700 would solve my problem, but it sounds like they dont have any head vents that you can use in the winter either, come on guys help me out,i really like this helmet, does anyone 100% know if they have a head vent for steam to vent thru or not,and who sells this helmet,my only choice when they get one in is my local doo dealer..

Hey Pete....give Scorpion a call in Cali and ask for Mike Talarico. He's very knowledgable about their helmets and I'm sure he'll help you out. They have vents but they are plugged...thats not to say you cant "unplug" them. I'm picking mine up tomorrow so I'll take a look if you can actually unplug them.

OH man thats awsome,i sure hope you can unplug them,if they are on the top, where i sweat so bad,i steam up like a wet shirt just out of the washeing machine,my sweat shirts are always soaked and i am standing in a restraunt looking like the guy from a swamp thing, steam just rising off me like the stack on top of a factory lol heck i was thinking of drilling 4 1/4 holes in the top of my doo bvs2 helmet,i even bought there 150 dollar heated shield last year,it lasted one day,and broke off the wire,it was a lousy design how they had the wire installed anyway,i should of new better... thanks Peterxwonder said:mnmsnowbeast said:OK here is why i need more head vents,i sweat so bad when riding hard, that i fog up even when its 40 degrees above outside,so when it gets cold it freezes up,now i have used almost every kind of helmet you can imagine, all of them fail me,my most current helmet is a doo bvs2 flip down front,it sucks big time for me,it and there full modgular have no other head vents,to let head steam escape out the top,i was hoping the scorpion exo700 would solve my problem, but it sounds like they dont have any head vents that you can use in the winter either, come on guys help me out,i really like this helmet, does anyone 100% know if they have a head vent for steam to vent thru or not,and who sells this helmet,my only choice when they get one in is my local doo dealer..

I confirmed it...you CAN unplug them. They design it that way so that you can convert a snow helmet to a street helmet. You're good to go...

Thanks rxwonder, thats great news,i am getting the exo700 in black matt and ele. shield,oh ya there chart states to make sure it fits snug, and acording to there chart my size is lg. my mellon measures 22.75" circumferance,so that fits me just a bit over the medium and just at the lg. how does your fit rxwonder, and what size did you need?? Thanks again Pete

Well took reference....I had an XL BV2S and it fit "snug" but comfortable. So...go by that. Whatever you are in a BV2S, is fine in a EXO 400 -OR- 700.

OK rxwonder,i went and ordered my exo700 size lg. today in tribal grapics, man it looks good, and it fits very good, but what really surprised me was how comfy it feels inside, man it has all kinds of foam,or stuffing or something, but it is the best feeling helmet i have ever put on. When it comes in i will have the dealer unplug any vents that need it,the 400 was the only ones he had for me to try on,and this one had rear vent, top vent and mouth vent, and the sun shade works very good, and i think i got a smoking price at 220 bucks out the door, with electric shield.
