Just found my new helmet

I tried them on at the snow show. I think they run about right. I tried a 2x and it was close so I went up to 3x.

I have worn a few hand-me-down helmets from my uncle over the years, the latest being a modular 2XL HJC. He tried one of these on seeing he was at his dealer and said the 3XL was a bit snug for him, so I am concerned it may not fit me. Was hoping to be able to order one instead of traveling in person to buy one, but may have to at this point. You wouldn't happen to have an HJC you could directly compare to would you?

No sorry can't help on that.

Just purchased a XL Yamaha modular in matte black from Port Yamaha and used it last weekend, very impressed. Has tinted drop down sun visor, heated shield and quick release strap.
:4STroke::yam::jump::bling;)!

Ahhhh....OK. Have you or anybody you know tried this with a Modular 2?
I carry a No Fog Mask as a back up to the rubber fighter style face mask that comes with the Mod-2 , I coat my glasses with liquid soap and let dry buff off with good cloth. I have cut inserts from a Shammy I got at the Auto parts store . This product holds twice as much spit! and you can ring it out and its 80% dry again. I have 4 of these helmets and my brother bought one also. They do work! you have to have it adjusted kind of tight and on cold days it helps to close the front chin vent . If it's open it just blows anything up and on to the shield. I have a heated shield on mine and It was Neg 15 in the morning of our last ride and I had no problems with any fogging . I found If you wear the no fog mask you have to have the chin Vent closed in order for it to work!

the problem with glasses in the cold is when you stop and they get cold with visor open and then to close visor and they are in a warm environment they fog up just like when you come into the house from the cold. I have the BV2S and tried my glasses this year and it was great until we stopped trail side and the glasses got cold the had to wait 5 mins in the warm helmet for the fog to clear went back to contacts. I have not found a no fog spray that truly works for more than a couple mins after application. maybe others have had better luck. if it weren't for that the helmet works great with glasses.

Bringing this back up as I never got my hands on one of these last year. I will be going to Milwaukee Snow Show Friday and will be buying a new helmet, and thinking I still want the EXO-950. Would like to hear reviews from those that used it last season. Let's hear it good and bad.

I bought a scoroion exo helmet back about 4-5 years ago.
It was marketed as and supposed to be a snowmobile helmet, but nothing on it worked right for sledding.
It had a heated shield but it would never work well enough to keep the shield defrosted on cold days.
The vents leaked something awful and snow dust would enter and coat the inside of the shield.
The seal under your chin was mesh and would also let in tons of snow dust.
I used it for about half a season and gave up on it.
I have honestly ridden with open face helmets that sealed better and were better for sledding.
Hopefully they have improved since then, but the fact that very little of the product line is directed towards sleds makes me wonder

I have a Scorpion motorcycle helmet. Has a built in sun visor and air chambers to help the helmet fit more snugly around your face. It was good for about 2-3 years and the air bladders no longer hold air and the sun visor hangs down about 1" . Its a little distracting more than anything, but still goes to quality on the build. Also, it is a very loud helmet. I get TONS of wind noise when riding.

I'd love to get an Arai, Schuberth or Shoei next.

Well im back with review. My face stayed warm the heated shield worked well when i had a good connection. When it connected good is when i didnt get a cold face. Light helmet never got a sore neck. I have no complaints about it and i love the color combination.

This will be my new helmet, comes in modular or full face, optional Bluetooth audio or 4 way rider comms and audio with a distance of 1000 meter clear path. Awesome colors too.

Those are some really cool helmets. I saw them last year but they never really panned out. Looks like full market now.

This helmet seems to have it all. Definitely going to look into this one!

Anyone have any input on Castle helmets?

I looked at these at the snow show last sat nite.the only thing i seriously disliked was the section that flips up seemed very flimsy & easy to bend.could be an issue in a serious impact.just my opinion.

That and the html web guys put it under motorcycle... Are they warm enough for snowmobiling?
