Just wondering if anyone can help me out I am looking at purchasing an 08 Nytro RTX but hearing lots of bad things about the front bulkhead being week and having problems can anyone help me out and let me know their experiences they have had with their 08 Nytros and what to look for! Thanks

I have an 08. The bulkheads are definately weeker than the 09. Same bulkhead but just with less bracing. Make sure that both skis are the same distance forward....check the shocks and make sure they are both in the same spot between the upper A arms. If everything is good i do believe there is a kit you can buy to weld on the braces if you wanted to. I have 6K on my sled, have put the 09 bulkhead on. Other than that sled has been good. i know the handwarmers are not the greatest but there are fixes for that or a good pair of gloves and hamdguards help too.

Determine weather it still has the 08 subframe. Mine was replaced for free after the warranty expired so it's possible that it’s been updated. The shocks should measure the same distance from the upper A arm. If their not equal it’s bent and will need replaced or straightened. If its still has the 08 subframe and you want to strengthen it, you'll need to remove it to do it properly. There have been reports of the 09's still having the same problem.

You may wish to check ball joints upper and lower.
Lift up the front of the sled so the ski dangles.
Then see if you can find any slop in the spindle.
It shouldn't move around. (other than turning the bars)
Sloppy spindles can be worn ball joints and or worn A-arm bushings.

Then while you are at it do an upper ball joint modification.
Easy to if you need to replace bushings and pull off the arms.
