Just bought this sled . Carbs were dirty. Cleaned them up. She ran great. Did 40 miles on Friday. Then Saturday after only 8 miles it started reving up high by itself and back fires. If you get right on it it seem ok. No warning lights or anything, oil, temp ok. Towed it home to be safe.
I would assume dirty carb again? But Ive never seen this high rev type of symptom?
Thoughts? HELP?

Remove the main jets and pilot jets and soak them in a strong carb cleaner and spray carb cleaner thru all of the carbs passages I have good luck with amsoils foaming carb cleaner on the passages and I soak the jets in sea foam and use compressed air to blow thru all the orifices and that should solve your idle . also change your plugs afterwards and if you have access to a manometer sync your carbs they perform so much better after being set up! Hope this helps you

I would also run some Sea-Foam through your gas tank, you could be picking up some junk from there?
