When I check the diagnostic for the throttle position sensor on my MPI supercharged Apex, the d001 reading only reads to 3-48 or less at WOT. when I unplug the gems controller and reconnect to stock then I get the normal reading 16-97. Anyone else find this to be true? My sled idles fine when the gems controller is unplugged but when I plug it in I have to tighten the throttle cable enough so the sled will idle.

also, interestingly when I do the same test on a MPI supercharged Nytro the TPS diagnostic reading are the same correct range with the Gems plugged in.

Just trying to see if others Apex react the same way.

Yes they all do that. You have to unplug the GEMS to test any readings and clear any codes in the service menu.

With the GEMS you will get a code 15 when your turn the key on but dont start as well, once started everything works fine. Something with how the GEMS is powered.

Did you adjust the GEMS on the #1 setting? Its different between summer and winter in the winter I run around 2 in the summer it wont idle unless its at .5 or 1. Just adjust Mode 1 and it will idle.

Mine does the same thing too.

Ditto with mine.

Careful adjusting that throttle cable, when you go up to the mountains you could have yourself a run away. I went down this path!

I adjust the altitude setting to idle in the shop. I've got my green setting to 0.5 in the mountains.

Question , why did your sled runaway on you in the mountains mine just did that today the one hose that runs to the vac/ boost gauge came off made things go all wacky wanted to rev up on its own
