I have heard some people running a larger air filter - anyone have a part # - I searched here and K@N and can't find something comparable.
I could use the original part # and manu as well. My original is pretty ragged - not sure if it is the one that came witht he kit as I bought it from someone else. It is foam on the outside with interior metal wall with holes cut in it and an outerwears prefilter.
Measures 2 1/2" dia at the opening. It is round and Overall 4 1/2" dia. and is 2 3/4" deep.
Thanks.

I just ordered a K&N from a local motorcycle shop but cannot get the part number until the weekend. It is a little longer than the original but fits w/a little trimming. (trimmed the flang part) It is the cone style and is made specifically for snow applications. I will also try to get pics when I get home.

Thanks JR - I saw the one you are talking about on K@N's website. Mine is a very porous mesh fiber with a steel mesh insert to keep its shape - you can blow all the way through it and feel it on your hand on the other side - has the outerwears prefilter too.

The RU1770 sounds right to me. All you really need to know is the mtg dia., filter OD and filter length. Depending on your turbo sytem and how you mount it you can run just about anything. Remember to get a silicone impregnated outer skin to help keep moisture from being introduced to the turbo intake and it helps prevent it from iceing up (just knock the snow and ice off with your hand)
