Help save a good hood. Need a piece of Blue Hood

I need a piece of a bad blue hood. yamaha Warrantied my old hood for a crack in it. they want me to cut the hood and send them the cracked area. I don't want to destroy the hood. I would like to keep it as a spare. I need a piece from a bad hood to save mine from the hacksaw blade. Thanks for any help.

Hood needed

Your telling me, no one crashed a new RX1 last year and screwed up a hood. Come one. Some one must have a buddy whos buddies buddy hit a tree smack on. I mean this thing can be destroyed, just need a piece of it.
