I'm trying the aggressive snow trackers on my XTX and need advise on the set up. On the first trial run the sled was very tippy and unpredictable during cornering. I am thinking that I need to adjust the transfer rods to allow less weight transfer. I was also thinking about increasing the dampening on the front shocks.

Is anybody else running this set up on an XTX? I tried searching but could not find anything.

Was it tippy before the snow trackers?? What helped me was adjusting the center shock untill the spring rattled then tightening the adjuster until the rattle stopped. (maybe 3 turns)

Does adjusting the center shock take pressure off of the skis?

I did see that - I wish they had one that was XTX specific. I have a feeling that the chart was created for the 08 Nytro. It should be a good starting point for the XTX though.

Thanks.

mine was tippy after installing my powerderhounds, i just toe'd them out to 1/4" (1/8 each side) and turned up the compression on my front shocks to 4 clicks from hard, much better now, i think i might even go to 3 clicks and go for a spin see how that works out, i didn't bottom on the rough trails but i took a few jumps on her and came close.

Just lean out further, use your body weight, she'll respond.

I'll also add that this isn't my first ride on the nytro - I know how lean and how to ride the sled in the twisties.

Just messing with ya.
Honestly... I looked at the sno-trackers and thought they would be too much.
The nytro is quite responsive to smaller changes like bigger carbides or more toe out.
Those things freak me out.

Ok - I adjusted the center shock putting more pre-load on it. This seemed to help with the over steering and I think I just need to do some fine tuning. So far the snowtrackers are promising. If I can figure it out these things should work really nice.

I am also toying with the idea of lowering the front end a little and setting the sled for less transfer - any thoughts?

Of course now that I am doing some adjustments the snow is going to #*$&@ and the trails are closed.... I'm moving north.

ive got snowtrackers on my 09 rtx and i think they work great tighten center shock alittle and limiter strap all the way out werks for me it does not dart what so ever

Will do -I'll probably head to Eagle River or the UP next weekend and try some adjustments then. I'm wondering if the semi-aggressive trackers would have been a better choice.
