Hey TY,
Post #1
I just bought my first 4 stroke snowmobile. I bought a brand new08 RTX Phazer from a lady who won it on the 'price is right.' I only have a few miles on it so far. I have loved every phazer I have owned. I still have a 99 phazer that runs like a champ.
I am looking for a list of things that must be done to this sled to make it function correctly.
Are there any recalls that I need to be aware of?
Does this suspension need any modification to carry a 200 lb person? I have read posts about the suspension bottoming out.
Does this sled have a fan to cool it?
Unfortunately, the sled did not come with a tool kit or owners manual, so I am sort of bumming in that department.
My list of things to do so far is as follows;
Install Handguards
Install 136x2 or 136x1.75 track over the summer
Install Float Plate -Done
Swap out skis to ? simmons? sly dogs?
Somehow address massive hole in tunnel.
Any of your input is appreciated. And thank you for all of your posts that I have been reading over the last couple of months.

get your shocks revalved by a good company like pioneer or carver and then 1.5 freeride track ,if your going to be on hardpack or trail for more than half your riding don't go taller than 1.5 because you will be picking up lug peices in your first 500 miles and if you like jumping keep it a short track.

No factory recalls on the '08 and don't worry about the manual its pretty much useless, if you want to look at it Cannondale has one posted at the top in the stickys area ,its in pdf and as for tools, the kit only has 3 tools in it and they are useless except the fox float pump thats the only thing you need and it should be mounted in a bag inside the front bumper, might even be a belt in there.

I just got floor board reinforcements they seem like a good addition if you like to jump.
