HERE I AM

Iwas always the big dog in our group and now my buddy with the AC F8 is gonna be which sucks but, Id be afraid to go over 100 on that thing handles like crap, and he is tetering on going or should I say coming to the blue side. I love the sled so everything is GOOD. The wifee likes it too, maybe in a couple years she can have it and I will get an APEX????

:jump: :-o

I just changed my first set of hyfax on my 09 RTX SE at 2,800 miles. A lot of the miles were on very thin, icy, trails and my left side just burned through this weekend and right side still had some life left on it. Do not get concerned after they burn down to the wear line after the first few trips. They will stay there forever unless you do a lot of road riding and bad condition riding. I love the sled, wouldn't trade it for anything else except another Nytro! As for power, we had some large diplacement sleds on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage and these were the results of all top end running: we would crack it at about 70 or 80 and see who had the best top end over a long, lond distance.
98 XCR 800 was consistently one of the fastest on top, no speedo, but it would pull on the others by a mile per hour or so.
It was a toss up between the 09 Apex GT LTX, 01 SRX, and believe this one, 09 Nytro XTX with an Ulmer Clutch kit. Mine was next, these guys said they were getting anywhere from 104 to 107 on their speedos, next was mine at 100mph exactly. I did have the side wind deflectors and saddlebags on my SE so the wind had to be dragging me down, I have gotten 107 on my speedo before. So don't be overly concerned that you are going to miss the power of an Apex, the Nytro pull is awesome!

Thanx WOODY you ust put a smile on my face. ;)! ;)! :-o

The Apex is a great lake sled and does have longer legs, but I think the Nytro is more fun to ride. A few mods and the Nytro runs right with my Apex for 500 to 700 feet and then I pull away. I love the forward ride position and the low end acceleration from the Nytro. The Nytro is my sons sled and I have considered moving to the XTX, but have not made up my mind yet....... :yam:
