I had to weld up a spot on my muffler that had cracked. After welding I installed the muffler, started the sled, put my hand over the muffler breifly to see if there were any leaks. The engine coughed a couple times due to exhaust backing up, took my hand off, sled was still running, turned it off.

But now it wont' start. Won't even fire. Did I damage something, could this have fouled up the plugs bad enough to not even fire?

Any thoughts?

Just cranks and cranks. no codes.

Usually the motor will stumble and backfire if you foul a plug.If it won't fire you may have fouled more then one plug.I would try that first.

The muffler was removed.^

It was the plugs. I haven't fouled any plugs in a 4 stroke yet. Used to my old 2-stroke, you could at least get it to fire and choke a bit, but I had nothing, not a single fire so I thought it was something else.

3 new plugs and away we go.

Thanks....a

AWESOME that its fixed and not anything major. Happy trails to you
