Heres the latest news from my Yamaha-hating family

Monoshock is an excellent rear suspension. It will not do as well as the Pro-x's skid on the nasty moguls - not to say it wont do well - just not as well. But otherswise I doubt there is a better skid out there.

The Prox-7 will take it off the line and likely to 800 ft out and then the RX will walk by it.

Never heard of engine casings being broken as an overall problem. Some isolated.

I am not sure about this but I don't believe the frame or bulkhead has been moved or altered for rider forward - just a change in the handlebars, seat and plastic. Front suspension has been changed out.

Wow, bad enough to take heat from the POO or DOO crowd but your own family. Maybe you were adopted. That would explain alot.

Man your family is SCREWED UP...LOL

If the sled is the same then what about the EFI and Radiator with fan and electric shocks and Vector style front end.. The chassis is the Delta box 2....

as far as the Pro X beating the RX....LOL... thats funny...

Just shows you that if yoiur not willing to tune your suspension you shouldnt own a sled..

Get yer Yamaha, then start dating or better yet marry an Asian or Black girl :D
LOL....Ive always liked the Asian girls. Ive been friends with various kinds of Asian girls: Koreans, Chinese, Hmongs, Japanese. I dated a few of them, and it was fun. I personally like the Japanese the best, but they are all great! ;)! In fact, I can speak and write in Japanese, so that just might happen someday! ;)!
I think my plan is going to be to find an '05 RX-1 or '05 RS Vector. It seems that Yamaha has cured the problems of broken W arms that the ProAction rear had. Like I said, then I can rub it in their faces when Im first accross the lake, get better fuel milage and have a sled that outlasts their 2-strokes 5-1! ;)! :yam:
Thanks for all the help!

Hey all. Here's the latest new from my family who hates Yamaha and is determined to proove to me that Polaris is better. They are the ones who keep telling me that a Fusion was never meant to be a top-end lake sled. They say it was meant to be a big-bore TRAIL sled. Also, my brother claims that he talked to "a guy" on a brand-new RX-1 this weekend who said the ride of the Monoshock sucks and wishes he would have bought a Fusion or a Pro-X instead. According to my brother, the guy on the RX-1 said that the Monoshock really pounds you and that he went over the same bumps the guy on the RX-1 did and didnt get pounde nearly as bad on his Pro-X. He also said that he raced the guy on the RX-1 with his 700 Pro-X and that the Pro-X beat the RX-1 off the line and never looked back. It all sounds like BS to me, but whatever.
My father works at a Ford dealer and is a lube technician (changes oil all day long). Anyways, he told me that a guy was in there the other day with a Yamaha jacket and said he worked as a sled engineer for Yamaha.
He told my father than the RX-1 and the Apex are exactly the same. He said Yamaha has tricked everyone into thinking it is rider-foreward by putting different plastic and a different seat on it. According to my father, the suspension and bulkhead are EXACTLY the same.
Also, they keep on cracking the engine cases. According to this "engineer", if you ride these sleds hard you will crack the engine block.
What do you all think: truth or BS?
I vote for BS!

Man I really want to post a comment here, but since someone in JAPAN might read it, I won't.

PM it to me. I'll do it. I think :D
I've got 2 Asian daughters. It would be difficult to accuse me of any racial prejudice
