Hifax wear 2007 Apex Mtn

I am looking into buying a set of ice scratchers.

I still want to know am I going to have this same problem with the
hyperfaxes.

I was told from the dealer that is also because of the way the rails curve up in the back for the wear in the middle of the rails.

How come the other brands do not seem to have this problem?

Stock hifax need to be broke-in properly. Get them hot then cool them down, repeat this several times over the first couple of rides and it should help with the wear issues (just don't stop once the hifax are hot or you'll melt the clips into them).
I've had the Hyperfax on since new and I can't even see that they've worn any at all and I don't have scratchers yet. They're expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Did the left side wear more? Were you riding the roads on the right shoulder?

I installed 5.38 wheels. This year I am installing a shaft with 5.38 wheels pressed on right in the middle of the skid between the rails by those rubber bumpers directly under the upper idler wheel.

Well after installing my third set on the seld in just over 700 miles I've decided to try the "remove all the wheels and add scractchers (which I already had) approach"

So we'll see how this works out. I mounted them as far forward as I possible could so we chall see.

Well we had just as much snow as last year, maybe less in a few areas while riding the trails to the play areas but my Hyfax are in great shape.

Removing the wheels and running scratchers is the way to go.

Found out that the Polaris 163" sleds don't even come from the factory with wheels, just scratchers........
