My 2012 XTX has about 1600 miles and this year I noticed it started idling between 2000-2100 even when it is warmed up. Also noted a significant rise in fuel usage by about 20%. I have always had Yamaha dealer do oil change and maintenance on this sled. I never had had problems with exhaust and I cannot hear any change in the tone to indicate exhaust leak. Any help as to what I should be looking at and doing would be appreciated.

if someone else did the oil change then i would think the filter was also changed so that means they've removed the air box. I'd check to make sure the air box is on connected correctly on each throttle body and all lines are connected to the air box. there is also a small hose that needs to be connected to the bottom of the air box right by the throttle bodies, not sure if any of this is causing your issues but to me it sounds like something isn't connected correctly.

as above as i have folded a air box boot on my 11 replacing the oil filter.

do the rag test blocking both exh outlets at same time to see if it stalls cold. warmed up can decive you as my 11 tested good hot but failed cold.

you could also need to adjust the exup as they are known to go out of spec. here is a vid on how to do that. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?p=1067614#1067614

Thanks for the all the input, I really appreciate it. I checked the airbox and all the connections seem OK. I need to have the EXUP checked, hopefully that's the problem.
