First I would like to thank everyone who took part in our 1st 2010 TY NY ride held out of Tug Hill. We had a great time and had several new riders who took part on different days.
Wed Jan 13th, day 1---- We left with 7 riders & rode up to Stillwater then over to Beaver River for Lunch at the Norridewock for a great lunch. Then up to Star Lake then back over through Carthage, back onto Tug Hill. We rode over to the Montague Inn for Dinner. Then head back to the Edge hotel to finish Day 1 at exactly 200 miles. Trails were al great except for about 8 miles just Northwest of Stillwater.
Thurs. Jan 14th, Day 2.---- We left with 8 riders and headed up through Tug Hill over to the Wiona forest, then Boyolsten, to Laconia, down to Pulaski out to Lake Ontario at Selkirk Shores, then back to Palaski for a great Lunch at a great Italian restaraunt. I think it was called Stafanos(help me out gang with the spelling). We then rode back through Almar to Happy Valley, up through Williamstown, to the 110 ft Salmon River Falls, stopped there for a few Photo Opps. Then accross Redfield Resavoir down to Florence accross 46 corners to Swancotts mills to West Lyden, to C-ville for a great dinner at the Alpine, then back to the Hotel. Once again most of the trails were awsome. Total miles for day 2 was about 212.
Friday Jan 15th, Day 3.---- Nick from Curve industries joined us for part of the day, and brought up some Curve skis for people to put on their sleds to try out for the day. Nick put a set on my Apex GT that I rode with both Friday and Saturday. Nick also rode with us with his well tweaked Nytro. I liked the skis and will touch upon that subject later on. We left with 13 riders on Friday, with a mix of rain, sleet snow, and freezing rain fallind. We rode up to the North part os the hill hoping to get out of the nasty weather but it keep up for a couple hours. We then head back South to the Sportsmans nera Hoghmarket for Lunch, then rode around for awhile on the West Lyden area trails. As we headed over to White Lake, Nick from Curve Industries left us to go back. We Rode from White lake up to Otter Lake and then back to Forestport for another Great dinner at the Buffalo Head restaraunt. Then we headed back to the Hotel for the night. Trails were good once again for the most part. Total miles for the day were 194.
Sat, Jan 16th, day 4.-----We left with 7 or 8, I can't remember for sure. We rode up to Great Bend,(by Fort Drum) and then down to the Buffalo Inn just outside of Copenhagan for Lunch. A BIg MISTAKE!!!. It took about 2 hours to get served and eat our lunch, Very slow service. On a positive note I did get to see Syracuse beat West Virginia on a big TV just above our table. We then rode basically back down thriugh the hill back to the Hotel. Due to a broken kill switch, and a slight sled mishap, and a few us us wanting to get going home we only rode to about 5:30 and only 145 miles. Trails were good in the morning, but took a beating by mid afternoon. Over 750 miles for the 4 days.
I'm not sure how many rode on Sunday, as I had to leave Sat., cause I had to work Sunday. I want to thank everyone you participated in this event. I got to meet a few more TYers and make some new friends. We had a great time with just a few minor problems. Hopr to see many of you again later this year at the second 2010 TY ride. check this site soon for the details.
My impressions on the Curve Skis. I ride a 2007 APEX GT. Just for comparison, I also have a pair of Sly Dog Powder Hounds, and a pair of C&A Razors. I can honestly say I like the Curve skis better then the other ones. It carves and turns as good as the C&A's, with alot less effort. My Sly Dogs are close to the Curve skis, but I do dart a little still with the Sly Dogs. The Curve skis have no issues with Darting and I gained real confidence on the sharp corners that they were going to bite in and hold my line. I know some people have had some issues with their Curve skis on the Nytos. All I can say is the Nytro that Nick from Curve Industries has, had no issues at all and handles and responded perfectly. If any of you still have issues with your Curve skis on your Nytros, call up Nick or Sean and they should be able to help you with it. Thanks agiain Nick for taking part in out NY ride.
Pictures will be added in another post by Steve and perhaps some others.

I had an absolute blast on the TY ride. It is an event we will surely attend every year. You guys did a great job organizing the ride, I know how tough it is to organize an event.
It was nice to hear feedback from many different riders on many different machines. It is your feedback that helps us to develop exceptional products. I must say I was very surprised how attentive everyone in the group was towards the setup and riding tips I was offering. Thank you for that. I only hope that I will be able to work with more of you in the future.
If at anytime anyone needs help with setup or riding tips we are eager to help. Don't hesitate to contact us, we are here for you anytime.

Thanks for the great job leading every day Gordon
It sure is nice when I can just follow along and not have to be the leader. I remember nine of us going out Saturday. Great to meet all the new people(Dave, Dan, Mark, John, Amy, Nick and Mike). Viperman found out why his Phazer was bouncing so much in the rear skid on the way back. Seems he broke the front arm on the left side. Glad we got back to the truck with it. Can't wait for the next ride, hopefully out of Marathon.

Oooooh NOW ya want pictures BBW?!?!..haha
It was good riding with the guys (and gal..dont think I forgot ya Amy!!..a.k.a Mrs. Flyin Wrenches) from TotallyBALLBUSTERS.com (aye ya yaye. Somebody elses turn in the barrel next time around, eh?) I vote somebody else in on picture taking/photo ops, order taking, suggestion making (on hotels or places to stay or anything else for that matter), etc etc etc..next time around...other than myself. Like pullin teeth to get a group pic or take some photo ops. But then again, I did get a good Photo-chop at two of the pranksters expense (Thanks BBW and AirMech!! Sorry we stumbled upon you two in the corner of the warming hut by the Falls.)
Seriously good times, lotsa of great miles. I clocked about 750 miles for my 4 days...most of them great except for the trip back on Saturday through the Hill....but to be expected.
Good post and summary of the ride BBW. Was great riding with some old freinds and getting the opportunity to meet and ride with some new ones.
Here are some pics. And apparently the term "YAMAHA SNOWMOBILES ONLY" did not seem to be blunt enough. Dont worry though, any "other" branded sleds were photshopped out.

How about them trail's on Sat. ""WOW"" After I saw you guy's at Flat Rock on Fri. I headed back to Barnes Corners to suit up, it started raining on my way there so I just went on to the groomer barn. The John Deere was just coming in off a run, I helped out changing the oil and filter and had lunch at Tugger's with the B.C. crew. A couple of guy's came up from Pa. on Fri night and Sat. I took them on the run we all did on Wed. up to the Norridgewock for lunch. We tried to make Tupper Lake up the tracks, made it about 1/2 way but we had ""YELLOW"" sled problems so we headed back to B.C. Man the sleds came out of the woodwork on Sat. didn"t they? I want to thank you guy's for putting this together and letting me tag along Wed. and Thur. I'm sure we'll all run into each other sooner or later up there. I had a great 4 day's and 730 miles on the hill. ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

Maybe next time you'll smile nicely for the camera. haha. Jeeeez, ya guys had to ruin BOTH pictures at the hut? Would have been a GREAT group shot.
Something tells me I would not like the type of service I got at Ben Dover's Bar & Grill either....not my kinda cuisine, if ya catch my drift. At least I probably wouldn't have had to wait an hour and a half for a crappy sandwich though!!

A big thank you to the organizers of this outing and to those who keep the tradition going on from year to year. What a great way to meet new people and talk over and discuss new ways to make our riding experiences even better. This was my first TY ride, and everyone that I met was friendly and helpful. This is also a great way the PA riders to get some good riding time in. Hope to do it again.
