- 06 vector mcx turbo
Just wondering if anyone has tried these and if they will help clean up my throttle response.
i have an 06 vector with a mcx turbo .. Sled loads up bad while cruising runs very rich while not under boost or when you let of gas after boosting. Also going to lower main needle by raising clip on the needle. Do you think this will work

I had the exact same problem... My fix was two part... First I cleaned my carbs and synced them and adjusted the enrichment screws, then I cleaned the air filter leaving the jetting and needle valves stock.... Big difference

I was advised by rx rider to use the black springs... And he certainly knows his way around turbos. I know hurricane performance sells them I have not tried them personally but it was and is on my list.

Too lean and it will start popping and braking up.
Too Rich it will burble and fall on it's face loosing Power big time.
If you do not have an AFR meter on a boosted sled now it's the time to get one. Takes out the guesswork. Even better yet get some data logging capabilities, you will not regret it.

pilot's are set at factory settings. which way should they be adjusted? My sled pops like crazy when you let off the gas and coast.why? I guess its time to invested in a carb sync tool. what kind would you recommend.

thanks RXRider…too bad your shop is 4,00km and an ocean away from my house or you'd have another client.
I'm in the process of acquiring an AFR sideband…i saw the AEM sideband w/data log on sale maybe i'll flip the dough for one of those babies?

this weekend i pulled carbs cleaned them a adjust air/fuel screw also adjusted my floats. Built a syc tool for my carbs, they were way off. Last week i talked to holzman he suggested for me to try the red springs, which i bought at the same time as the blacks. What a difference sled no longer loads up in mid range, throttle response is back like it was when sled was new. Runs great. Sled has always liked to stall when jumping and landing hard but seams to be worse even after i lowered the float level is that because of those super light weight spring?
