I orginally posted this in the RX/RS Mnt section and got one response from a member but I had 71 views. I thought if I posted it in here I might get a couple of more responses.

I've done a couple of searches and for the most part everyone that has a Holz skid under their RX-1MNT has said they work really well. My questions is since we don't have the mountains here in Northern Ontario is the Holz skid worth the money. I ride as much off trail as possible ( small hills, rivers, lakes, etc). I was looking at the Holz or the K-mod but the Holz on sale ($1000) is near the same price and you get two new shocks instead of reusing your old front shock. I thought about the M7 skid but alot of guys talk about an unknown vibration. Besides I really like the way Kachess stable of sleds work.

hey jigger, the only problem with say a holz,or timbersled,m-10 etc ..is getting parts as we are in the north..i had a m-10 before and it rode fantastic ,but one day i needed a small part 30 bucks shipping plus another 50 for border fees.and 2-4 weeks later..with adboivin parts are here in 2 days with only a 10 dollar shipping charge...are you thinking of buying a holz as well?

no that post was from march before the ZX-2 came out. I was looking at the Holz kit or the Expert X. ZX-2 on order.
