i love my rtx i think i need to get stiffer shocks in the back but i love the machine and would not trade it for the world! it handles and rides awsome through bumps jumps and ramps! amazing machine koodos yamaha

so the rtx is the way to go, so it won't bottom out

I am 250lbs without riding gear and have yet to get it to bottom out. It took a lot to make me leave Ski Doo...but this sled is worth every penny I paid and more.

Sure you can wait for them to improve this or that for the next year but IMHO it is not worth waiting. I had an 03 REV and sure they improved it the next year and the year after that and so on...but I had many years of fun and beating my buddies before they bought theirs. Same thing is happening now. First to switch to Yamaha in my group....and first to enjoy the power, ride and handeling. Just my $.02

Thanks Turk. Those are the square pieces of tubing right? I just cut them out? Would I need a whole aftermarket exhaust or just muffler?

My Wife loves here Nytro. I read all the problems guys are having with darting and twitchy front ends and We haven't had any of those problems. The reason is our Nytro has never had anything but Pilot skis on it. I know they have slightly changed the geometry on the 09 Nytros front end but I think what they are doing is trying to make the crappy Yamaha skis work. What I don't understand is why they don't come out with a new ski instaed of making suspension changes so the old ski works. I've read about guys doing all kinds of mods on their nytros to get then to handle better but they don't address the ski issue and in My opinion this is where the Nytro needs work.

Its a great sled, just needs different skis. One other thing, the hand warmers are worthless, five times yesterday I had to stop and warm my hands up with the exhaust. My friend with his Rev that basically has no windshield never gets cold hands and when I ride his sled, I have to turn the warmers off. Its a Yamaha problem, my Phazer is the same and my Vector was also cold.

yeah, it seems as though Yamaha is missing on the small picture, they need to address the ski's & handwarmers, i'm not going to buy a new machine until they have addressed the handwarmers, Rockerdan found a great fix for the handwarmers on the apex/attak and has made alot of people happy

Man my hands are fine on mine! But i did a oil change and dont like the gay push pins.

Skydog P.S. Do love the sled FUN FUN FUN!!!
