I don't think those will fit on your 06. They're for the units with the headlight mounted on the hood. Regardless, as I hear it, the mirrors are worthless - they are mainly good for deflecting wind.

I put them on back in the summer. They only fit the RS chassis. The mirrors are very small and if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a headlight behind you.
Btw, if you do decide to get them, go aftermarket as they are about $100 cheaper.
I am curious as to why Yamaha has listed this as an option for a 2008 Vector GT though?

I have them on my Rx-1 and they are GREAT for deflecting wind. and as for the mirrors their OK. Like said eairlier as long as you can see headlights behind you. It's good for that! I painted mine along w/ the rest of my sled so it kinda blends in a little. Here's a link to pics of my sled w/ them on it.

And as for the aftermarket ones said earlier they are also GREAT I just bought a set from Royal Distributing here 3 weeks ago and got them in for my wife's Rx-1 and ther are really nice. You can't tell the differnce between the too ( oem to aftermarket ) and they were $100.00 CHEAPER!
And I'm just going to paint the upper half of my wifes blue to match her sled. Here's the link to Royal's page w/ the mirror's :
