Is there a tell tale way to tell if a Viper ever had a turbo?

Physically you cant, but there is information in the ECU about boost pressures.

Lol, no maybe the opposite. As hard as I try I can't walk away from the Viper. Fund a really good deal on an LTX, almost too good so looking the gift horse over good.

If it had an mpi turbo, than there would be a small aluminum angle tab riveted to the top of the clutch guard where the oil separator was relocated, also underside of the hood should have two holes cut out for the corners of the intake plenum, unless someone went the extra mile which i doubt it.

If it was mcx turbo on it you can check where the oil sensors are. Mcx take the oil pressure from there and one place there you need to grind/saw a bit of aluminium to fit the oilpreassure to the turbo there

Talk to it if it seems depressed due to it's now lackluster performance it once was a big boy!
