Hi all! Happy New Year!
Im in the process of doing a track change on my 2012 xtx and i discovered my jackshaft bearing in the chaincase was getting a little rough. I am going to change the drive bearings as well. My concern is with the jackshaft bearing on the clutch side. Do I need to pull the secondary sheaves to get at the bearing? or does the jackshaft and secondary slide out as one unit after the chanicase is taken apart? Any assistance is greatly appreciated as im learning as I go! Thanks!

Happy New Year! I just changed my jackshaft bearing, take the secondary off, remove the Jackshaft as an assembly, take the two circlips off. I used a press and pushed (lot of stiction to begin with) the bearing and bearing holder off as an assembly then pushed the bearing out of the holder. Cleaned up the shaft, put a new bearing in the holder and pushed it back on the shaft. It's a tight fit. If you don't have a press, freeze the shaft (leave it outside) and heat the bearing (don't melt the rubber seals) before reassembly.

once you get the new one in, take the secondary off, take the c-clip out and then use a dental tool to gently pull the bearing seal out each spring and put new grease in it and then reassemble in reverse order. I have done this to my '08 every year and have never had to replace this bearing.
