Welcome to the site... I've been riding yammies for 29 years now.. Very happy with the product. My Vector only has 20 miles on it so far..."NEED SNOW"
But I really enjoyed my first ride. Handles very good. It's so quiet. You should find this site helpfull. Don't be afraid to ask anything. (ABOUT SLEDS)

I agree with MM
. I just came in from my 1st extended ride(20miles). Due to low snow I didn't push it but did hit 101mph on the wish-o-meter
. I can honestly say that I'll never go back to a 2 smoker...never. I am hoping to pop on the lake tomorrow and play a little bit more but as of right now, WOW I am impressed. Now if they can just get rid of that clutch rattle (under warr.)
. I have a Rage never been on a RX1

rode 04 rx1, but didnt notice ski-lift that much since it had an aftermarket sway bar, with simmons skis, but i did ride my rage for bout 6 miles, on 3 ft powder, but then handlebars broke, that was a bummer, but when i was riding it, the weight transfer was excellent, ski lift as a little bit too much, but can be dialed in, really levels out when in flight(but make sure that u do level it out, with body motion and brake/throttle), and ripsaw is freakin awesome...overall the 6 miles i was riding it-100X better than 2000 SXR

I have just about a 1000 miles on my 05 RS Venture and I like it so far.
I have changed the oil and shimmed the clutch for the rattle and other than that I just put gas in it and rode. Lots of power, quiet and smooth.
Getting between 16 and 18 mpg's. I can't compare the RS to a RX because I have never ridden one. I switched from Ski Doo this year and I am happy so far.. It has taken me a little to get used to the front end weight in the powder, but I adapted.
Anyhow, think snow and Merry Christmas

Rode a '03 RX1 for about 4,500 miles, traded it for a Rage. Rode the '05 models during the demo ride, lucked out and liked the Rage the best for my type of riding. (cruising)
The RX1 motor is awesome, the new skid is nice but the machine just feels heavy compared to the RS models. The RS machines do run out of legs quicker than their big brother RX units but that's nothing a little boost won't cure.

mm and phantom, i ground some of the weld on the throttle side of the handlebars, so i could fit my handguards on, but not thinking that it would weaken the bars that much, but when i went to turn hard into a corner, snap, so theres nothin to worry bout UNLESS you touched that weld!!!

I'll make sure I don't touch that weld.MM..
