I was just wondering how everyone checks their oil. I shut my sled off with the key and check whats in the tank. But I got to thinking if I were to shut it off at the kill switch and let the pump run for an extra second or two the tank would have much more oil in it coming back from the turbo and give me a very different reading on the dip stick. so how do you check your oil??

Run it until it's completely warm. Stop the engine by cutting the ignition on the key. Wait a few minutes. Measure with the dipstick lowered into the oiltank until it touches the threads. Add oil if the level is below the E mark, E is for Enough.

With the oil level in the middle between the E mark and the F mark, it will take about 1/4 of a quarter or 250 ml to get to the full mark or above.
