Do you have the oil line going into the Turbo regulated with a pilot jet? I have a 35 pilot in mine.

Mine did exact same thing... and did not knew the restriction requirement at that time...

Eated a full pint of oil each ride.... and was smoky!

The Garrett GT2860RS requires an 0.035 restrictor on the oil inlet.

I stock them in -3 and -4 AN fittings.

I called Dave at PL about this and he told me that when running his GT2860RS and his oil kit a restrictor was not necessary.

Parts were bought in November 2008. He may have changed the design of the oil feed line and turbo lately so a restrictor is not needed anymore, I'm guessing here.

Garrett says otherwise.

0.035 for Ball bearing
0.060 for non ball bearing.

Not good.... not at this time trying to finish off the sled... I'll run it and will probably be back with an order for the restrictors when she starts smoking :-(
