Im in a major effort to get my warrior to handle close to how my viper handled!!

I isnt too bad now that i have the limiters sucked up and lowered the front end by 4 turns.. '

But i still have a push and carbides just dont seem to grab.. (i have 6in woody dualies now!!)

DO i want dual carbides like the skidoo or a shorty kneal like the viper ski has ??

Any insight or help willl be appreciated!!

You don't want the viper skis - that will just give you push in the corners. Have you loosened off the center spring to compensate for tightening the limiters? Get SIMMONS skis - they really work. Don't get skidoo skis, they're narrow and shallow and keep snow, ice, water, mud, etc., in the grooves on top.

Loosen those fronts MORE... jack up the front end until the skis are off the ground, and loosen off the springs ALL THE WAY until the seats are *just touching*, then set your transfer rods to *MINIMUM* (lowest point), and at that point, crank down your limiters to the point where the sled steers like a trail groomer (remembering to keep loosening off the center preload to compensate - actual tension on the spring with the sled up should be what it was fully stock), then move your transfer rods up to achieve *best feel*.

No i didnt losen the center shock... But i felt it was too soft at the stock setting anyways... After tightening the limiters it feels just right...

I dont know what lowering the front shocks even more will do for the push .. caus i dont have a ski lift problem,, I just feel that the KNEAL is way too tall for the sled and my type of riding(groomed trails)

THanks for the info....ANYONE ELSE??

That would be KEEL (like on a sailboat). If you put on skis with less keel, then I sure as hell wouldn't want to meet you at a corner. If you follow my suggestion, you won't have ANY push.

How much were the simons skis??

ANY????Thats a big statement!!

Welt i know what you are talking about. I have the doolies to and they track real nice and straight but they fill with snow between the two bar's as soon as you turn and then you go straight. One of those trade off's.

This is something i hadent thought off!!

You maybe right!! Maybe the simons skis could be the way to go..

I bought the Simmons skis from Matt for whatever he has them listed for on his site.

Maybe I should clarify that ANY statement... under the condition that THERE IS SNOW. It still has some push on dry pavement.

would you say your rx handles 10 times better than it did with the stock skis just from adding the simons?? What lenght carbides are you using?

Right now I'm still using the (crappy) 4" 120 deg carbides that it came with. I will be changing out to 6" 60 deg later (will install them right after we get the base next year).

Unfortunately, I can't really say how much of the handling change I can attribute to the skis, since they happened during the summer along with a whole slew of other changes. The REAL reason I bought the simmons skis was for flotation. I had a nearly expensive experience when one of those tiny stock skis broke through a crust - it went into a wild gyration at about 80 kph and I was thrown off the machine at about 30 kph. I landed about 40 feet from it - it landed on its side, popped out a screen and tore a fastener out of the "mask" - was able to make it perfect again at no cost, and there's not a single scratch on it, but if it continued to roll over and landed upside down, I would have lost the entire hood, pod, handlebar, seat, and maybe exhaust cover(s). I've tested with these skis on all types of snow/crust and it will never do that again.

LB the ski doo skis work great, don't put down what you haven't even ridden. I have installed many setd on RX1's every single person has come back and could not believe the difference.

I have the Precision ski's on my Warrior with 6" carbides on the inside, and the stock Ski Doo carbide on the outside. These ski's are unbelivable. The Warrior turns on a dime, is so stable you feel like you can let go of the steering at 100 mph. I was riding in Munising two weeks ago in that "sugar snow" and the sled was so stable it was unreal, my buddys polaris was down right uncontrollable at 60 mph in some of that junk snow. I can't speak for Simons, but I don't know how ANYTHING could beat those precisions set up i have mine, and yes I did ride the sled with the stock Yamaha Ski's and they are junk next to the precisions.

The problem with the precision skis is that they are narrow and shallow. There is a greater tendancy for them to sink down (which can cause loss of control and possibly death), but a lower tendancy for them to really bite in (more push in the corners) - AS COMPARED to simmons.
