How does the little (white I think) clip come off the top of the needles in order to slide out to adjust the c-clip? Does that thing just pull straight off with a pair of pliers or does it have to be twisted in a certain direction? I don’t want to break anything.
Just use needle nose pliers to pull it out. Does not hurt to use a twisting motion. When putting it back in be careful and a twisting motion will help also.
Be careful not to push too hard, as you will break the little plastic ears that it slides into. Did that once.

They are very delicate. Small needle nose plierswill do the job. So don't use too much muscle, they are expensive to replace.

I was just changing my needle hieght and found missing parts
I was trying to get my manuer speader to run and found while going to adjust my needle hieght that I was missing a washer off the top of the white clip not the c clip but the washer on top of it
i did not have a spare so i took them off the others as well
which made me wonder was it actually meant to have tham there to begin with or will i be looking for big trouble when i go test this thing again
I had been having big problems with coils but thought it could have been carb related so i decided to MAKE sure they were set up all the same as the gymnastics my sled does could have changed things not visable i suspect anyhow the clips appeared to be set the same but one washer was missing I just dont know how this is going to affect How it will now run without them on I will post my results

the washer under the clip is the one that determines needle height, as well as clip position.

The washer on TOP doesnt matter. What you have in there is a washer and a clip. You can move the needle a whole clip, or adjust the placement of the washers for finer adjustment. I think that with the washers it gives you half-clip resolution.
