I had my rear shock revalved by pioneer and had the fat boy spring installed. Last night while riding It seamed to have more bounce than it did before. I have put about 400 miles on it since the revalve and Im not sure if its blown or not. Is there a way to tell without taking everything apart??

Turn the R.A. all the way to soft. Go to the rear of the sled and push down on the rear grab bar rapidly to get a feel for how fast the rear rebounds back up. Now turn the dial to full soft, repeat the same thing, can you tell a difference, if not it's probably blown. If the rebound feels different but still seems to buck (back end flopping around like a bronco on the loose, it's either blown or just not valved right. The 06' RTX was soooo out of wack it wasn't even funny. Make sure you give the rebuilder all the information about how you ride, total weight, front end setup. Also the setting of the transfer rod will effect how soft the sled feels, if your at full transfer, it's going to bottom and be more bouncy than at min. If you typically run at full transfer I would add even more dampening to both comp. and rebound.

Sounds like your OVER SPRUNG...did you check your "SAG"...if your SPRING is to strong or set to high you will get this KICK in the pants while riding in rougher stuff, whats your riding weight, what size of spring do you have and what are your settings at? ex:"C" clip,cam...

Before what? Have you gone back to the "before" setting to see if the bounce stops?
Thinking the idea of returning to full soft settings a good plan. Go from there to see if you get back in to what you're talking about above.
If Pioneer installed the bigger spring, I gotta believe they compensated in the rebound stack as part of any revalve they may have done. That's pretty basic.

Just a thought, if a bigger spring was installed and the old setting on the perch wasn't moved it would now be set for too much spring preload. (like apltx08 said). check for the right amount of sag with the new spring...

Agreed. Last year my shock was placed on the 3rd clip during the rebuild, I had it moved down to the 2nd clip this summer. rebound is under far better control now. Also it dropped the rear of the sled down about an inch and half.
