I just texted him your pics. He SWEARS that is not his set up, that there is no adjustment screw with a slotted head on the reservoirs. I am stumped. His is a white 2008 Nytro RTX. I am gonna need to fire up the Mystery Machine and get Scooby.

Thank you again!
Trying to do this while snapping pics of my computer screen and sending them is a bit challenging. Especially since he has a phone from 1972. The dummy has the exact same setup, I think the adjustments are just covered in snow.

Have him loosen the front shock preload to the point that the spring almost rattles. There should be only 2-3 threads showing below the nuts, Pull the front limit strap 1 hole tighter and leave the rear strap in stock position (loose). I don't remember my compression and rebound settings but they aren't far from stock....I think I softened compression and hardened rebound a few clicks. I run with the torsion springs set on "M" and I'm 200lb. If he hasn't revalved his front floats, he should.

Floats are re-valved and he's happy with them. He has been texting me saying he loosened compression (counterclockwise) on both shocks and its still too stiff. Do you still recommend what you posted even with these shocks revalved by Pioneer to Apex-type settings?

He has not done anything with rebound settings yet.

Great Pics Grizztracks!!!
Just rode my "new" Yamaha for the second time and it is as stiff as board. I loosed the torsion spring and the preload on the front skid shock, but couldn't find what this clicker was. In my head I hear clicker and think about the shock spring click adjustment like on a bike. Looked ALL over the web, and found a few other newbies that couldn't find it either, a few explanations, but nothing that helped like your terrific pictures.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Grizztracks!
Just wanted to say thanks Griz for the excellent pics! Very helpfull. A word of caution about adjusting the shocks. I was told that you should turn them all the way in, counting clicks as you go so you have a reference point to know how much you've moved it.
