I'm just curious, if all, the majority, or just some are using oil.
We all understand that they changed the rings in 05 and hopefully they are not using any oil.
My 04 Warrior runs great, but every 200 miles I add around 6-8 ounces :o|

I broke the sled in hard (Motoman Way) and although they changed the rings in 05, who broke there's in by the book, and who broke there's in the Motoman way, and how does that corrulate to your oil consumption :drink:

I have an '04 Warrior. Doesn't seem to consume oil at all. I check it, but have never had to add for normal riding.
I have had to add a few times though, after the sled has rolled down a hill side or something and landed up side down.....spilling a ton of oil into the airbox!! And yes, my fit & finish is no longer as exact as it used to be!

my and my dad's two 04 warriors use a very small amount of oil....maybe need to top up 1/3 of a litre/quart every 1500-2000 miles. my brother's, however, used about twice that much.

My 05 doesn't use any....has Castrol Syntec 0-30 in it. The yamaha oil is like $8/quart, and the Castrol is like $5/quart and full synthetic.

my 03 drank the stuff. 1 quart in about 400 miles. After Turbo & low comp pistons it stopped.

No oil hear. Broken in by the manual. Figured with the cost of a new sled you should take the time and follow the manual and if there was any problems it would not be how you broke the engine in.

Im not sure how motomans way of breaking somthing in is but if it involves WFO alot than thats
how my 04 was broke in. Ever 2000 miles about
half a pint.

Mine uses little, if any oil. But I do add Ringfree to the gas. It started to use oil once, and I shock treated it with Ringfree and it stopped right away.

You know, I was told by the dealer that they changed the rings in '04 also. I assumed it was a late in the year change. I do know they changed part numbers in '05. But, I have seen it before when it took a model year for the part numbers to catch up. It saves the cost of having to change all the documentation. But who really knows for sure., eh?

1qt/170 miles unloaded from the dealer (Hauck perf.) regeared installed grass kit and went racin.
