I think i may have one of the lowest mileage 03 RX's left..
i took it out tonite for the 1st time the winter. Last winter it never moved, no snow!
It now has 523 miles on it. I am only pulling 9500 RPM all the way to 90mph on the dream-o-meter (74 on the GPS, loose snow over icy lake)
The sled is stock except for the ECP kit and skis. I'm assuming that the motor will loosen up once i get past 1000 miles or so?

Actually it's closer to 1500 before the motor truly "comes to life". All depends on how you broke it in and how hard you ride it.

My 03 has 730 miles now. It definitely feels faster everytime I go out but I am sure it will take a good 1000-1500 miles to fully seat the valves and rings. The manual says you can ride it normally after 300 miles.

mine just hit 1,500mi and it is really starting to pull
good. glad to know that i can expect more from this sled as it 'ages' some.
900 miles and my boosted Rx1 is finally coming alive.

I just got 2600 miles on my 05 and it is really there now... It seams to get faster and faster all the time. This year it is stronger, crisper, and seams faster than it did all season last year. And last weekend it felt stronger than the weekend before. I have been told by others that these motors continue to gain strength well over 5000 miles. I love the sled!!!
i feel that my attak gets stronger all the time... adjusted the transfer today and wow.... 950 miles and counting.....
1800 miles for my 03 RX.
I would think most of these engines are broken in at 500 miles. I know mine has not got any stronger since that mark and it does not use any oil either. Broke it in like I was going to ride it from day one. Switched to full synthetic at 500 miles also.

How do you like the synthetic? What brand do you use, and how long have you used it??? I have been considering switching to full synthetic for a while but so far I have only used the yamalube which I think is a synthetic blend. thanks!!

I think it's all b.s. my Warrior has 3000mi on it and feels the same as it did at day 1, also still has the same results when racing my buddys zr8, he gets the holeshot and stays 1-2 sleds ahead all the way.

Nothing wrong with the Yamalube I just wanted 100% synthetic for easier starting and better protection and the benefit of an engine running a little cooler. I have 3500 miles on my sled now.
