Is an Apex with 1000 miles broken in enough for Mobil1?

Talked to my dealer the other day about this...They highly reccomend sticking with Yamalube for cold starting purposes.

ALL dealers say the SAME THING....Im beginning to think they all are from the same mold..lol.....cold starting is even easier with FULL synth!

BTW,im not taking anything away from yamalube 0w30.....its great stuff and will do fine.....

I think we on this site just are all fanatics about our sleds and want the BEST that can be used...I know I strive to do anything possible to make my rtx run a tiny bit faster....If you add up all the little tweaks, you might be beating all the others....;)

Synthetic is proven in auto technolgy to increase fuel economy, reduce drag and is used on the HIGHEST HP race cars....surely synth cant be a bad thing....

even yammie has made there a SEMI,where it used to be all mineral..so they are even stepping up....and most likely is a semi simply for a better brake in on new motors.

The Yamaha 4-stroke snowmobiles do not use a clutch plate starter system, but instead utilize a mechanical one way locking pin design instead of a clutch plate type system. Anyone who tells you not to use full-synthetic oil due to a slipping starter clutch has been misinformed.

No idea if the "energy conserving II" will affect the clutch plate starter system in other applications or not. All I know is that the Yamaha 4-stroke snowmobiles do not have a clutch plate starter system.
