I currently have mcx rear mount 19t kit W/ Head Shim. Stock internals. Was curious if its safe to turn the boost up to 15-18psi and run race fuel only.

I am only a customer so i can only speak for my sled and all i know that runs Apex MCX.
It seems that up to 350hp you have a very reliable engine with stock internals and with headchim, that means you can run 20-21lbs of boost if you burn racefuel, or atleast 106 octane.
This is my guideline after have read almost all posts on several forums the last couple of years (4 stroke boosted era).
An engine failure can happen anyway, even @ much lower boost, and then it's quite often an rod bearing that seize.

i like to run as much as possible untill something breaks and then back off just a tad.seems like the rods are failing before anything.some are running 20 plus, some are having issues at 16.i'll try 18 this weekend with stock motor and c16 fuel.

Like Lakercr said What's Race Fuel? Come on guys there must be hundreds of different fuels out there. Be specific. C16 is good for 20lbs with a headshim, but that's not my choice for a cold weather fuel. Can't say what fuel is best, need all the info for a given setup. 350 HP for stock rods is PUSHING for sure. I DON'T run it till it breaks and then back off!!!
