How old are we.

You can usually tell the age of a rider by the height of their windshield. :)

For me it's "all" getting shorter -- now 56 and riding Yamahas for 32 years.

56 eh, so then that is probably not your woman in the Avatar?? couldn't help but notice and if it is I'll be really impressed.

Well, as for me I'm 49 and definitely have too much time on my hands to be reading this thread. This will be my third season on a Yamaha if it ever gets under way - my first experience with doing any mods on a sled (must say it is enjoyable to a point, especially when improvements are made). We have only had groomed trails here since 2002, so before that it was limited riding on woods roads, etc. My wife and I really enjoy the sport - it is somewhat addictive I believe. I started riding 35 years ago on my Dad's 2nd hand 1973 12Hp Bombardier Elan - when I look back it makes me feel old.

Previous new sleds:
1977 Moto-Ski Spirit (same as Elan but with cooler shape hood - & orange)
1981 Ski-Doo Citation 3500 ($1499 new and sold in 1991 for $1100)
1992 Ski-Doo Skandic 377R (sold)
2002 Polaris Sport Touring (Exc cond - serviced and ready for the snow)
2008 Yamaha Venture Lite
(1st Yamaha for me & 1st Yamaha I have ever ridden. I am pleased with the ride comfort and has gotten used to the riding style and also like the utility of this sled; i.e the carrying capacity and hauling capacity. I have no issues with using it for hauling my winter's wood - best sled I have owned for that. I hope Yamaha keeps making those with some improvements of course)

Previous old sleds for the kids:
1981 Elan
1991 Arctic Cat 340 Jag
1995 Formula S 380

The end.

48, I have been riding snowmobiles, ATVs, dirtbikes and motorcycles for 40 years. I still own my first Honda a 1969 Z50. My wife keeps telling me one of these days I will grow up. I hope not. You take away a man's toys and what is left? A couch potato.

Been riding yamaha for 20 years with a fun Ski doo to add to it back in the 90's. I have beat the hell out of most of the sleds and they always took it. Ski doo Skid actually fell apart on me. Never had an issue with any of my yamahas.
