I am sure its been covered but how do I change the oil on my 07 MTN Apex? Is there anything special I have to remove or special tools?
I have 1,100 miles on it now so I think it needs to be changed.

Nothing special. Just takes awhile your first time. Take off the skid plate if you have one, then take off the engine cover plate on the bottom of the sled. There is a drain plug, if its never been done it may be tight! start draining that and then start taking off the right side plastic so you can drain the oil resivor. Then remove air box and unbolt battery box so you can move it a little to help get to the oil filter.
Put it all back together, then add aprox 3.5-4 qts of oil to the resivor and start it up and check it. i usually add 3 qts, run it , shut it off, add another 1/2 qt and then check it. Eric

The only 'special tool' you'll need is time and patience, especially your first time. It also helps to have a smallish oil filter wrench and I think it's easier to take the battery bracket all the way out. And no matter how frustrated you get, just remember this, changing the oil on a Phazer is TEN TIMES more difficult!
