How to test a JHC electric shield?

Maybe plug it into your wifes sled and see if it feels warmer. Might be a power supply problem

I was having the same problem this year. the connection between the wire and the shield was my problem. It tested fine but any movement or vibration would cause a loss of power to the shield. I had to get a new shield and wire. Now i just leave my wire plugged into my helmet so it doesn't get worn out. Hope you get it figured out. Iced up shield sucks!

I've tried 3 different wires 2 which are brand new. I'm out today and there is snow flurries so I see how this goes.
I am going to block the vents except the front and top which I can shut manually.

This is what I do. I have a connection right at the exit of the split loom on my bars so I plug/unplug there and the cord always stays with my helmet. Plus it's just east this way...

The shield works fine now. I believe the connector inside the shield wasn't snapped in tight. Rode with it a few times and it did it's job.

Been run'n a snoforce II (lazer) with heated shield for a few years now it too bad they stopped make'n em and only sell what I call hellmutts now...
