Hi
I was looking at hurricane performances upgraded nytro kit that comes with all the performance parts and wondering what people thought of it? My nytro is stock an that kit has everything I want to do. How much difference did you notice in your nytro?
Any feedback will help. Thanks

I bought the Ulmer kit which is the same but with his map instead and the difference is unbelievable. I am more than happy with the $ per HP ratio. Sounds amazing as well. I thought that it was going to be tough to improve on the low end torquey Nytro engine but it does. A LOT.

- 2009 Nytro RTX MPI Stage 1, Hindle Exhaust, Evolution Re-flashed ECU, Ulmer Clutch Kit, Split Rail Skis, etc.
I ran the Hurricane Hindle set up last winter. With the 8GL's tip loaded with steel 17.2 Yamaha rivets, YSY spring, primary machined for over drive and the secondary machined and cut 43 degree helix. Then switched to Ulmer's clutching, STM weights, primary spring and helix, even better. Huge top end and midrange gains, 113 MPH. Nice sound with the Hindle exhaust, and no trouble with the Police or Trail Patrol in 3000 mile last winter. Think Dave only wants $1299 for the kit plus clutching. Go for it great upgrade.

Buddy's Summit XP 800 would destroy me when I was stock. Not anymore. Just do it.

I just can't decide what package is going to be better. Everything from ulmers or everything from hurricane

Hurricane is in Canada (near Ottawa I think), so you'll save on shipping, if that helps you make the decision...either way you won't be disappointed and

I would choose all from the same place as they will have their setup as a pkg. clutching and programming may vary and could effect each other. Best to stick with one company

You have the clutch kit from them too? Is all you have on your nytro in that kit? You noticed a big difference from stock to what you've done? How has it help up against other sleds?

Can someone post links to each kit? I would also be interested in a complete package.

It is amazing the pull that the Hurricane package has, and Dave is amazing at helping you out fine tuning the setup. It's next to impossible to keep track of the speedo up to 85 miles per hour and from there on the numbers keep flipping past WAY quicker than stock. http://www.hurricaneperformance.ca/...elling-power-sports-power-sports-performance/

Does anyone have any hesitation or flat spots with this setup? I have read different people complaining about these issues with different aftermarket setups. I would love the extra hp but I really don't want to have to trade off with throttle response.

I went with the Hurricane package except the clutch kit. I spoke to Dave at Hurricane and his clutch set up is not for MTX. So, I spoke with Allen Ulmer and he had a MTX set up ready to go. I installed the kit and it was bang on. In reference to hesitation or flats spots...yes they all have them apparently. Mine has it, but there is no hesitation or flat spot that I can "feel". I can only hear the odd pop, but it doesn't affect my acceleration at all. Autotune is supposed to take care of that, but I have spoken with others and it still pops here and there. I don't even notice it.
