I do not like the idea of bigger wheels or drop down kits. If you picture riding down the trail. The snow will push the track up to the sliders any spots that do not have wheels. So the bigger the wheels the more of a wavy path the track has to take as it spins around. I added a set of wheels to the bend in the rail and am running hyperfax this year. I found them for $150.

I have had good luck with this kit and the new blocks that hold the wheels to the slide rails are much beefier to.

I put them on both of my sleds, plus the extra wheel kit at the bend. I use the stock hyfax and been having good luck. They supply the blocks and hardware. Is what is nice with his kits, if you ever have a problem with a wheel you don't have to remember all these extra part numbers. He uses the stock Apex wheels.

so based on that picture..the washer would not be centered against the bearing and the bearing wouldnt have equal pressure?

Right. But the washer is not that far off center but still hits all the way around on the race. Also is what helps the beaing is the very tight fit on the block, only a couple of thousandts slip fit. I own a machine shop and I was going to make some but but the price it wasn't worth it to me, i would have to do a run of 50-100. These were machine good, the only thing I did to them was hard anodize them so they wouldn't corrode.

I had to "customize" them for the aftermarket blue yamaha idlers but very good quality product.

I changed out my front wheels to Slydog wheels they are slightly larger at 5.350 diameter..
I lost no speed and trippled my hyfax life and evened out the wear..
