Im putting a 136 intense track on thats clipped every third and wondering which hyfax I should put on? I have a new set off duponts but I heard duponts can only be used with a fully clipped track. So do i put on the narrow slides or some white polaris slides?

Are all windows open? If yes clip the rest and yun your duponts. If no cut the rest of your windows open, clip and run your duponts ;)!

All windows are not open. clips and a clipping tool get pretty spendy. Maybe just better of buying the Excell X Wheel kit

It's not hard and doesn't that long at all to cut the rest of the windows out and put track clips on , that way you could run the DuPont slides

All windows open + wheel kit = 0 hyfax wear

Rubber & plastic don't mix even in good snow

See if a dealer will rent the tool to you !

Why the need to fully clip the track? The stock tracks on the Nytro was not fully clipped or had every window open. The hyfax would wear fairly quickly then stop at the wear line and last forever.

I read on a couple threads that the vespel insert will be hard on the track itself. No clue If its true or not.

Dupont hyfax on a track with several clips missing in a row will burn the rubber off the track right down to the cords in great snow conditions. I did it.

With a new fully clipped ripsaw II 136 with excel x wheel kit I put 4500km on a set of Yamaha white sliders last season. Still have a few rides left in them. Wheel kit helps a lot.

Where did you find white yamaha slides?

The Yamaha dealer near me had them last year beginning of the season. Last I checked Yamaha only made white ones, any other sliders the dealer is selling (other then black DuPont) are not genuine Yamaha sliders. Makes a huge difference, the after market ones don't last 1/4 as long. I once burned up a set in 120 miles on my old viper.

Maybe its a Canadian thing....its exactly the opposite every place I've been. Ill have to look again for the whites, all the black slides I have bought have genuine yamaha stickers too

I found my dealer to be a little sneaky and were putting Yammy stickers on aftermarket slides..

I think there might be cheap Yamaha ones that are black, the white ones they say are "high performance". The first set of sliders always last the longest and they are white...
