I have a 05 warrior, replaced stock skid with same. with new skid in, now my hyfax ware-out, just in front of 1st wheel, good snow, rear shock on same setting, tried to tighten straps, didn't seem to help, running 8" duce bars, don't seem to have any weight on them. brand new carbides. At the time I did skid change I installed new Apex seat, I think I riding back farther on the seat. I have gone thru 2 sets of hyfax in 2 rides, 200 miles each. Wore out hyfax almost to the rail, Adjusted track, have 2" in middle of skid when I lift sled up in back. OEM hyfax (old skid hyfax- many thousand) Can see 3 lines on transfer rods.
Maybe front wheel is wore down?
What if my front shock is not adjusted properly.

It is not your fault...it is not your fault...it is not your fault...Yamaha's poorly designed suspension is at fault.

There has been so many Yammy riders complaing of high slider wear. I remember on my Vector, I had to change them 3 times in one season, not fun. Twice last year, I changed sliders on my Nytro. This year...none! How? If you want to eliminate the excessive slider wear on your sled, you have to fix it...YAMAHA won't help you.

Larger idler wheels are the answer. Here is a link to a thread and what parts you need to fix Yamaha's mistake:

No more worries running ice, lakes, roads, etc and burning through to the rails. Again, YAMAHA won't help you.
