It has been done before, no reason you shouldn't be able to now. Remove the nut, remove the outer wheel, slide out the shaft, etc.

Busted Track Adjuster
My 2004 came with the adjusters in upside down. The nuts did not line up in the windows. I once pulled the socket wrench and extension out and did not notice that I left in the socket. Spun the track and wham!
Until you take it apart once or see the part, you don't really see the slight offset and realize the things are in wrong.
The adjuster's rod is welded to the collar at a slight angle. If they are installed correctly the nut lines up in the window correctly and the socket comes right out. Moral to the story, ... Make sure they are in there correctly.
You can weld a new stud on the old collar, for a quick fix. Then when the part comes in, put in the new one.
Good luck!

Thanks. It was in correctly, I looked at it while I had the skid out. However, I did notice while the skid was out that the shaft was not moving freely, and when I put it back in, the track was tight even with the adjusters loose. I'll have to look at it more and see if I can break them loose.
