I have 500 miles on in good snow conditions and my Hyfax are toast in front of the rear axle.Shouldn't they last a little bit longer than this.I'm going to add an extra set of wheels in front of the rear axle and pray that this will help a little. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for me they would be greatly appreciated.

I just went for a 65km run and my brand new sliders appear to be toast.
The first 20km I stopped due to the stench comming from the heat. I looked at my sleders and boy were they wearing and wearing fast. Graphiet and plastic was all over the rails and extro's.
Throughout the ride I kept an eye on them and they did not go past the wear marker. They seem to burn right down and then come to a dead stop, so for the next ride I'm not going to change them, just keep an eye on them.
Where are your slides at right now?

Mine been at the wear line for the last 2000 miles. They wear down fast for the first 500 and then seem to stay there.

I just added some of the small wheels in between the 2 sets that are on there. I'm going to try and get out tomorrow if all of our snow doesn't melt first.

This is what I have seen. Mine wore fast for the first 400 but, the last 200 it hasn't moved.
Took the sled in for the 500 mile and wanted the slides changed, service guy didn't do it. Said he has been watching these for a while now and said I should stick it out because, at the point they are now they seem to last @1000 more miles.
I'll keep an eye on them but what I have seen, I have to agree with my service guy. I'll stick it out and see how they go from here.
Same here, wore down to the line in the first few hundred miles and haven't worn any more in the last 1700 miles.
