I just had my 08 FX Nytro rear and center shock rebuilt, re-valved and center shock re-sprung (dual rate twisted spring) by HyGear. I also installed their torsion spring spacers while I had it all apart. I just put the skid back in and immediately noticed how much stiffer it is to compress the shocks over how they were pre rebuild. However, I noticed that when pushing down on the rear bumper the sled does not rebound back up. My torsion springs are set on medium and they may actually be too stiff since there is not much Sag if any when I step onto the sled. I greased all of the fittings prior to putting the skid in. Is this normal for the skid to not come back up to fully extended when compressing everything via the rear bumper? I had someone else compress the sled while I looked under neath and nothing appears to be binding. The only interesting thing I noticed is that I could wiggle the rear shock ( one without the spring) a little by hand. Every thing is tight and torqued to factory specs so this puzzles me as well. Any thoughts?

Have the exact setup (hygear). Mine acts the same, but no issues riding. In fact I think rear suspension is great on the Nytro. Don't get hungup on sag. I weigh 246 with gear, torsion springs on medium, rear shock rebound set at 8 from closed, center shock 5mm preload. Ride it like you stole it. Hygear is a great company and I have them re do my shocks every 1500-2000 miles. Oh and mine have the sport package revalve.

Thanks Pete. I'm supposed to go on a trip this coming weekend so I am really excited to see how the setup works. I just bought the sled this summer with 3000 miles and the rear suspension was terrible on my first ride. Bottomed like crazy. I've since had the shocks rebuilt, oilite front end bushings and new donut exhaust gaskets. Did some Bergstrom ski shims too for the darting. I'm ready to enjoy this thing and not being taking it apart. When the rear wasn't rebounding I immediately thought I was going to be down again. Does your rear most shock have a little wiggle if you grab it with your hands? I'm almost positive I put everything back in how it came out and followed the shop manual diagram. I'm thinking I just loosened things up with cleaning things up really good and greasing everything. Bolts are tight for sure.

Hey Pete. Let me know if you had a chance to check your rear most shock for any side to side movement within its mount. I'll be with my sled tomorrow so I can grab a quick video of what I'm talking about.

Ok went out to the shed in the dark and checked my rear shock. I can move it about an 1/8" back and forth on bottom mount(seems fine).
