I just sent in my sport X shocks for a refresh as I've ridden them two seasons.
I felt the fronts did fine, but the center and rear shock almost felt like it wasn't keeping up. I was on a rough section with nonstop 1-2ft bumps and i hit a wall about 35mph. The back kept bucking me or bottoming out. It didn't feel like the front end was bottoming at all. It could have been that I just didn't have the rear end dialed in for the rough stuff though
I went with the trail profile valving and now that I sent them back in I'm thinking of trying the xc profile.
My questions is people that have had hygear revalve their shocks, how do you ride the sled and what valving profile did you go with ?

When I installed Fox Float2's w/ reservoirs it made a huge improvment in bump performance.
Lowering the rear of you XTX like I outlined in my Trail King thread will balence your sled out in the bumps and help your stock shocks to work in a more efficient manner, and it costs zero $'s. Do you have the Hygear torsion spring spacers?

I had the sport x package done on my rtx 2 seasons ago, i wasn't impressed with it at 1st. I had to max the rear compression out on my rear shock to stop it from bottoming out. Was rebounding ungodly, but the fox floats after the revalve and extra canisters made the sled handle awesome. After talking with them over the phone i sent them back in this past fall. They revalved them for me again and what a difference it made , sled is night and day now. I am not sure what base line they used ,because they didn't have that option at the time, but i do know they softened the center shock to help with the stutter bump and increased compression on the rear. Oh and I ride it like I stoled it!

Lowewring the rear of my XTX destroyed the ride. I have the Hygear TR springs in front Dr spring in the center.
How did you lower it STAIN?

As described in the trail king thread. I did not lower the front at that time--only the rear. I would like to try to lower the front of the sled without touching the rear end though and check the results.

You must do it correctly and you must do both ends to keep the sled balenced.
