Hygear Twisted Spring

It's all coming back...lol. We did 2 of these last year, and here's what I did:
Pick the back off the ground, slide the orange bumper on the shock shaft to the shock body. Gently sit on the sled, don't jump on it. Pick it back up and measure the distance from the shock body top to the orange bumper (the shock will compress and slide the bushing up the shaft.)
I set mine at 1.500 inches. 40 mm is about 1.57 and 45mm 1.7. After pounding it on some classic tug hill trails the groomers missed, the sag went to 1.7 or so, as it broke in, so I put it back to 1.5 and left it there. Use a scale to measure...I may have used a telescope gage and miked it,but I get carried away sometimes.

This is correct ! If you have just the spring and crossover then you still have just rebound on the Mono where the quick adjust cable screwed in . Good place to start is 6/7 clicks up from full soft. If you go full soft the sled will kick back ! I had a remote reservoir so I have hi/lo speed compression all so . You will like the ride when you find that perfect spot on the rebound . Find a straight away with lots of small to medium bumps and run it back in forth while adding rebound until the bumps are barely noticeable.

I didn't get the compression, but 6 clicks is right. Sometimes I'll run 3 soft on smooth trails, but usually never more than 10 clicks hard. Gets too slow to rebound after that.
