This may sound stupid but check you oil cap...if it isnt on properly it isnt a pressurized system! I had that problem with my last sled, always overheating cause my cap wouldn't seat properly!
EDIT: Stupid me...i was thinking the cooling system! Sorry I am just waking up...!!!

Fault code No. 30
1. Oil pressure dropped.
Place the snowmobile on a level surface, and then check the oil pressure after warming up the engine.
2. Short circuit in oil pressure switch lead.
Short circuit in oil pressure switch sublead.
Disconnect the ECU coupler, and then use the circuit tester to check for continuity between the engine ground and the oil pressure switch coupler (yellow/green).
Repair or replace if there is no continuity.
3. Defective oil pressure switch.
Start the engine, warm it up for 1 minute, and then use the circuit tester to check for continuity between the oil pressure switch coupler (yellow/
green) and the switch body.
Replace if there is continuity
Remember. You will do much better here if you are not confrontational. This is a close knit group that will bend over backwards for you. Just as long as you don't try to make them bend over forward first.

ok this is the first time it happened... i cant get my NYTRO to stay running to check any of that.. i think i need to get the code cleared from the ecu so it will stay running and i can run those checks...
i am very thankful of any help i receve from folks who know something.. i am VERY dissapointed with this sled, i have been a yamaha owner for many years... i also have a artic cat MT cat that has over 15k miles on almost original EVERYTHING! im allready to trade this bone MTX in for a MCAT!

Once you get the problem isolated and fixed this will run better than ANY 2-stroke out there. This is the one drawback to a sophisticated engine. It protects itself thus not allowing you to run it.

you said the sled was a non-current.......check your oil if it is milky the sensor will give you an error code 30......you need to dump the oil and filter to get it complete out.
Non-current sled that have been around for a while will go into the heat and then out.....etc...do that a few times and the condensation will build up in there and start to give you troubles....

Broken oil pump chain? I've heard of that happening before!
