One piece of info you didn't give......how heavy are each of you in your riding gear? There's probably a hundred pounds weight difference between the sleds.......if there's quite a bit between you two then the outcome isn't all that strange...........there's only a 20 to 25 hp difference to start with.

That means total weight difference of 130-150 lbs. I've heard/read stats that say it takes 1 hp for each 10 lbs. difference.......that puts you guys pretty close to even starting out. If his clutching is spot on your results are not that surprising......like somebody else mentioned, traction and/or weight transfer????
I'm around 3 bills ready to go and even with good clutching and the ECP filter kit (more air and bigger jets) I have a hard time with some lighter buds' 600 SDI's.

Wanted to comment on buddahs post about the weight.
The stock 03 F7 in my post is driven by a 110 lb kid. I have another friend with an 03 F7 that is ported/pipe mod and Boondocker. He weighs 240lbs with out gear. The stock 03 pulls the modded one by a little. When they switch drivers the modded sleds pulls the stock one by 5-6 lengths in 1000ft.

Thank you. This makes sense as opposed to just blaming it on engine problems. My sled runs great, I just need to fine tune my clutching and traction.buddah said:That means total weight difference of 130-150 lbs.
