I want a better Apex seat

I have looked alll over for a better seat for my 07 Apex RTX. Im a fatty and keep bottoming out the seat.....not the suspension the seat. I dont have turbo (yet) .....Any thoughts?

I have looked at the boss. I don't want to spend a ton of money on rerouting my exhaust, Do they sell a seat that just swaps out with the stock Apex seat?

They used to, they don't make any seats for the 4 stroke Yamaha anymore. Check snowest clasifieds

There will be an article on the 2006 Attak and there is a new seat on it thats 3" taller and it looks stock. Plus many more after market goodies that make the sled Rock.

How are the WRP seats? I saw them on the sled solution site. They say it's a free-style seat for the Delta Box II . Is that what my 07 RTX is? lol

I looked at the Boss HighRise seat and talked to a dealer, he said they don't even sell them for the Apex this year because they are dealing with Cat. And I looked at WRP's Mountain assault seat and as nice as the seat looks , it looks like crap imo on the Apex with the stck exhaust.
I'm running out of options and my tail bone is KILLING me with this stock seat.

Is it not the mountain apex seat that they say is to stiff for most folk! Maybe that would be a better seat to stop your tailbone from getting bruised?

Might be one in the classifieds you can buy or trade your too soft seat for.

When the trails get rough I let my legs absorb the bumps,no sore back and no bottoming!!!

That would be much easier if my seat was higher...lol. I told you, I'm a fatty so I'm sure I 'sink' into the seat further than most.

I would put stiffer foam in the seat, just take it to an upholstery shop and they can easily do that.
