i want to raise and or change my stock rx1 bars to a better stronger bar with the hooks built in and i want to raise them so i can ride standing up. how high do i go? i just put a apex mtn seat on my sled last season and i love it but the bars are at least 3'' to low. i already have a 3'' riser on now. im guessing 7''?? can i put the apex bars on?

i know there is alot of wiring to change to raise my bars, what all do i need and how long? brake cable? throttle cable? :o|

i saw some threads on here about putting the apex chrome bar cover on my rx1 but cant find it i want to make it look clean and get rid of that ugly stock bar pad

I have a viper mountain that i put renthal bars with a 1.5in rise plus a 8in rsi riser on and it works well for me i am 6ft. My buddy has an srx that he put an 8in rsi riser on with fly bars with a twoin rise and it fits him real well to and he is 6ft 3ins. So i think i would go with an 8in riser for you andmaybe a handlebar with a rise as well.

I happen to have a extra set of bars from an '06 Nytro and I have an extra Apex chrome trim ring. Not only that .... but we sell awesome looking risers!!! Check out our webpage for pics of our risers. If you are interested in them and/or the bars/chrome ring I have, shoot me a PM.

We can hook you up with the whole package.

my brother is about your height and we used muffin works riser block with a set of rox adjustable risers, 05 rxmountain cables and brake line. he has since done a wildchild style rider forward and it is perfect for him. we had to roll the bars ahead in the stock position and it drove him nuts. the apex bars will give you more slack than we had because they are a bit lower than rx bars.

check out sledhead's build thread as he did what you want to do.

ran the Rox adjustables on mine when I installed the Apex seat.
I'm also 6' 4" and they give the flexibility to stand or sit depending on conditions with a simple adjustment (no tools required)
BTW I'm still using the RX1 bars.

Do a good job with your wires. take your time and make them longer than you need. MPI sells the cables. 05 RX1 mountain cables.
